EDIT: Home free! Everything is done and submitted. Now is about the time that I collapse and breathe many long sighs of relief in succession.

And finally it's submission time, folks! The entries are done, or very nearly done at least. I've got a lot of explaining to do, though...

Alright, so everyone knows there was a two week extension. That extension is the only reason I'm even still in the tournament, because for the first three weeks I was at summer courses, and had to give back the tablet I was borrowing my friend. So I was stranded, biting my nails and wondering what my opponent was doing with the time I was losing.

Once I got my tablet, I basically had the two weeks of extension in which to work on this. All fine and dandy, except in order to tell the story I wanted to tell I had to change my format. It's a little more cramped, a little less detailed. I don't particularly like it, and it will only work for times when I don't have the time to devote to big, detailed panels like usual.

And the story... ho boy. I entered this round planning to lose. My opponent, =Ekuneshiel is experienced with digital comics, and is very established in his detailed style. And here I am, tournament and digital art noob. I figured I needed something crazy. I have a reputation of killing off characters, I realized that. I needed to do something unexpected. You'll see what I mean when you read the entry, which I'll be posting progressively on Sunday, since Monday I will be gone all day.

If I lose, well alright then. I have grown leaps and bounds over the course of this tournament, made countless friends, and overall had an amazing time. If I win, well most of us agree that IF is on it's last legs. If I have to draw another round I will, but it might not be my most inspired work.
